A concept art made for Special Concept Art Battle on DigArt (digart.pl). This one is about a new game called "Tension " and it is very surrealistic, erotic and poetic visionery game , story is about 11 sisters each possesed different art or skill .The task was to design a 12 th sister .

Zoe Robinson ,the art director of Fantasy Flight Games ,asked me to do paint over the good old "Army of Scorpions" so it could be used for large print ( huge AGOT banner on neariest GenCon) ,orginal "army of Scorpions " used for card game was only 1350x1110 pixels. But I rather would like to make this scene from a scrach in hihg res ,than paint over old stuff. So I did...

Here's result , the source image has 10000x7000 pixels , PSD file has 943 megs This is oficially the largest file I ever created so far. Oh,yeah - I did actually - Venhelis map got 11423x5760 and way over 1.6 Gbytes but thsi is another story

Each AliveCreations member , temporary or regular, is obligate to have an idividual logotype-avatar-like character which represent his work inside the AC. I did choose a fairy-like creature from Maekkenian mythology called Laatka. This is one failed...entry to Uplift Universe CGS Challenge. I just couldn't decide to join the contest because of tons of work on my desk and besides it - I just installed brand new doors in our flat But once I joined the challenge I did produce two images.Here's the first one as a result of some questions been on my mind while reading some fragments of Brin's book here on CGS (my copy of book is on the way) I wonder if the book will answer my questions ,I doubt it but we will see about that. One of these question is are we happier Uplifted (considering we've been uplifted by some inteligent civilization,god or whatever in our past ) personally I think I could be much more happy if I were just left alone in the middle of grassy green field with my love just as we been created.

One of my fans asked me via e-mail box on my site , if I would help him with his Valentine's day gif for his girlfriend. Well ,I'm rather busy man ,but simply couldn't resist such a kind ,honest and streight declaration of love. They started to build their "company" last year. We were all supprised how fast they growing strong, organized. Now they are building fleet , they have weapons and they are figthing back . And the most important ...they found the way to breed again.

And this is a last one of these . All five were made for some purpose but at the end I left without job done and no payment again.I guess some People Can (not) Fly. So I decided to show them here , at least my work won't be useless. Each artwork description I figured out by myself durring uploading progress, is a 5 episode story about some ancient alien culture which were buried somewhere on Earth. One day people discovered them ,and make fatal decision to bring them on live again. Aliens take control on the planet for years exploating its resources. Finally small resistance group calling themselfs "west tradeing company" found a way to fight them back.. How will this end? I don't know ,...Is it stupid story ? ... hell yeah : ) but believe me it is better than orginal story provided by my client.

I'm going to upload some few more images till the end of this year -some projects made this year but couldn't be exposed earlier like this one. Then I decided to quit freelanceing ,if you red this above You won't blame me for that decision, I 'm sick of these.
But I'm not quitting painting on no (sorry folks ) , Next year I'm going to make Venhelis real finally .

For some time I take lot of inspirations from the past, my country , humanity generally or whatever but past. Maybe because I'm little scared looking into the future of humankind and try to freeze that moment our civilization acctually is and keep it for next generation as it still have some values worth to speak of before they vanish .

With this simple image I'd like to take You for a trip into distance...no, that wasn't that long ago at all, dark...hmm, yes we were back then so called "pagans" but we had culture, believes , rules and we knew love also,so it wasn't that bad at all too. Ok , I will take You to mistic journey not so long ago in not so bad times when our faters' fathers used to live in harmony with nature and respect to their Gods and fear to their Demons.

One of these Demons was Leszy , Lord and Keeper of the forest....unfortunatelly (for Leszy) a man Demon is not so atractive to paint for a male artist as defenatelly His wife could be. So before I finish my entrie "slavonic Gods and demons art book by Morano " (some day) lets just start with Leszy's wife first.

The Slavonic tales describes Leszy and his wife Lesovica as demons, ghosts but going in to fun, fool or just scare rather than kill a lost wanderer ,somewhere in deep forest. Sometimes to pass safetly next to Leszy was enought to make Him laugh with simple joke (for example wearing your clothers left side). However Leszy and Lesovica suppose to be spirits of people who died in the forest , probably killed by animal or starvation when lost. So those characters are not so funny as we might think.



In my version of Lesovica is more like forest guardian ,powerfull ,well build warrior , a mix beetween human and animal ,yet misty like ghost or mirrage vanishing in forest and air, and still little provocative or even sexy ,isn't she? Some may argue with me about this vision , but this is my vision and I won't go into any polemics until he/she shows me another to prove mine is wrong.

Now, the "strange behavior" chellenge is closed. Before the Jury would get into their voteing, I 'd like to know your oppinion about this illustration . Here's orginal story behind this image again:

"trange Behavior -hmm , can be everything ...and nothing, and I just love subjects like that - Once you read this title the gate to your imagination is wide open. And when you open that door really strange things might happen. So this was my idea for this challenge, pretty bad I didn't have time to take a part in this challenge because of some usuall things bothering me every day. Finally i found some time and just few days before deadline. A little extension of it was a plus ,as you can see im uploading final 2 days after previous deadline :/ . The main idea was described in WIP , but once more in short: I was trying to create my own version of Goya's "Sleep of reason produces monsters" , repleacing monsters with my own "nightmares" ,coz what else can be more "strange" than human mind itself and what can behave more strange that human imagination? - but don't worry is not that serious as it looks , as a matter of fact I was trying to be as much ironic as possible and make some fun of me and my life, because after all those "nightmares" which I illustrated here are meaning of my life and I love them. I don't think I should explain who they are each one of them , or should I? The Husar in the right corner , obviously my addict to military ,history paintings, He's standing there and checking if I felt asleep already or just thinking about new illustration, with sabre ready to cut my head of if my illustration will be too much "fatasy" insted "history accurate " , this guy is pain in my ...fingers. Next we have my long legged friend called "high heels fetish" - shes keep asking me about new pinup illustration all the time as I have nothing else to do And finally strange person sitting on a side of the bed , we can't see her face but i guess you did recognize her at first sight. Railla Karnokailen aka Red Baroness in Empire lands ,also known as Cold Steel on western lands. But mostly called simply "bitch" or "w...worst" by all others who has this unpleasent opportunity to meet her personally. This girl was a paradox of these days, for many- was a hero, a traitor- for few,an only love- for one. For young ladies in Empire she was an idol , they paint symbols on their faces with maskara to copy Railla's tatoos , Boys and Men couldn't sleep thinking both to love her or join her troops. She was a Hero climbing on her fame, status and careere ladder very fast while spreading only hate and death all over the Epire's enemies the same time
She came from Makken as a mercenary -after few spectacular battles she was spotted by Emperor's generals. Soon she become most powerfull leader of the army. When her personal guard was stronger then even Emperor's she became too dangerous. Emperor had to protect his own majesty even his personal feelings to her were stronger than worries. She surrvived assaination attempt and escaped . Joined her troops tryied to establish own monarchy in conquered provicens on the north of Kanel. That made her old fathers- Makkens , her new enemies. They sned their own army to capture her and egecute as a traitor and Empire servant. Surounded by Makken and EMpire she fought but lost -for the first time. She tryied to salvage to Hamperia but the road was very long and her army was loseing men very fast. The Legend says she died in the mountains but her body were never found. They say her Deamon will return 1000 times worst nad anger.
